Texas Panhandle Wildfire Relief Fund

Over the years, our region has experienced its share of drought, wildfires, tornadoes and hurricanes. As you read this, our neighbors in the Texas Panhandle are experiencing the most devastating wildfire in the state's rich history. More than 1.2 million acres have scorched, leaving entire farms, cattle herds, homes, schools, businesses and communities in ashes. Strong winds, dry grass and unseasonable warm temperatures continue to fuel the flames eastward, leaving only 15% of the natural disaster contained after a week's time.

The Alabama Cattlemen's Association has a long history of offering relief to cattle producers who have experienced catastrophe. Cattlemen helping cattlemen is a story known all too well by Alabama beef cattle producers who have been on the receiving end of generous donations during times of devastation in our home state. That is why the Alabama Cattlemen's Association has opened a Texas Panhandle Wildfire Relief Fund through the Alabama Cattlemen's Foundation to raise money that will be sent to the Texas Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association Relief Effort to purchase much-needed fencing materials once the fires are contained. The Alabama Cattlemen's Foundation will match donations up to $5,000.

Those interested in making donations can do so below or by mailing a check to:
