The Miss SLE Rodeo contest is a scholarship competition held each year in conjunction with the SLE Rodeo. Contestants compete in a variety of contests including horsemanship, public speaking, and interview. Those young ladies winning titles during the contest include Miss SLE Rodeo, Alternate Miss SLE Rodeo, and Junior Miss SLE Rodeo. In addition to the scholarship dollars they win, these winners represent the Southeastern Livestock Exposition and the state's livestock industry at events all over Alabama.
