| Amanda Buckelew of Opp,
was named Alternate Miss Rodeo Alabama 2005 at the 48th Annual
Southeastern Livestock Exposition Rodeo in March at the Montgomery
Garrett Coliseum. Amanda is a sophomore at Lurleen B. Wallace Community
College and is the daughter of Jeff and Tammy Buckelew. |
| Amanda plans to graduate
with an associates degree from Lurleen B. Wallace Community College in
August of 2005 and then transfer to Troy University to earn a bachelors
degree in Elementary Education. After graduating from Troy, Amanda
plans to attend Auburn University to receive a masters in education. |
| Amanda has been riding
horses her entire life and when she is not competing in Horse Shows, she
enjoys trail riding with her family and friends. Her other hobbies
include barrel racing, roping, basketball, performing in school dramas
and work with the youth during Vacation Bible School at Babbie Baptist
Church where she is a member. |

| Leah Cochran of Hope
Hull, won the title of Junior Miss Rodeo Alabama 2005 during the 48th
Annual Southeastern Livestock Exposition Rodeo in March at the
Montgomery Garrett Coliseum. Leah is a Junior at Loveless Academic
Magnet Program High School. Her parents are Bob and Wanda Cochran. |
| Leah plans to attend
Auburn University in the Fall of 2006 where she plans to major in Animal
Science and Biology where she would like to become a doctor of
Veterinary Medicine while continue to be involved with the Rodeo.
Leah's hobbies include barrel racing, pole bending, training horses and
more. She is also an active member of the Alabama High School Rodeo
Association and the Alabama Quarter Horse Association. |
